Challenge For a custodian bank, the entire collateral management process is to be automated to a large extent. This requires both the creation of an internal position structure for the collateral positions and process integration with an external collateral manager. In the course of the automation, the necessary extension/adjustment of the compliance checks should also be carried out to ensure that KAGB compliance is established. Procedure Initially, a process design is created for the overall process, from which all interfaces are derived.
